Americas Cardroom Lets Players Choose Their Own Poker Adventure With WSOP PCPC Satellites.

May 09, 2016 – The desert? Or the beach? Starting Sunday, May 15th, poker players get to make the call. Americas Cardroom today announced WSOP/PCPC Satellites. Every weekend between May 15th and June 24th, Americas Cardroom is holding two Sunday satellites with three total packages guaranteed.

PCPC or WSOP?

The winner of each tournament can choose one WSOP Main Event package or two all-inclusive packages for this year’s Punta Cana Poker Classic.

“Whether you like to grind the tables in the desert or prefer an unforgettable poker vacation in paradise, we’ve got you covered with WSOP PCPC satellites,” said Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “While those who end up cashing in the WSOP will enjoy their trip, we know from experience that everyone who ends up going to the Punta Cana Poker Classic will have a great time. Ultimately, it’s up to the player.”

The WSOP/PCPC satellites take place every Sunday night. The 6pm ET tournament guarantees two $12,500 packages while the 8pm ET tournament guarantees one package. Both tournaments cost $50+5 to get into.

This year’s Punta Cana Poker Classic takes place this October at the luxurious Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Players will have exclusive access to a private section of the hotel known as The Level, complete with private restaurants, pools and beach.

Players who opt for the Punta Cana package after winning a satellite will receive two prize packages totaling $12,500. Each one includes the Main Event buy-in to the $500,000 GTD Main Event, a $300 satellite seat for the High Roller tournament, double occupancy, and all-inclusive access for two. With two packages included for the PCPC, winners will essentially get a trip for four to paradise, with Main Event buy-ins for two. Also included in the package is $2,700 cash.

Those who opt for the World Series of Poker Main Event this summer in Vegas will win a $12,500 package that includes the $10,000 Main Event buy-in to the world’s richest poker tournament and $2,500 for travel and accommodations.

$2.5 Million at Stake in OSS VI and Million Dollar Sunday

OSS VI and Million Dollar Sunday

Talk about multi-million-dollar overload. Americas Cardroom is resuming both its popular Online Super Series and Million Dollar Sunday. The OSS VI runs from April 15th to 24th, offering up 76 big guaranteed events. Included in the series on April 24th is the next Million Dollar Sunday, a $1 MILLION guaranteed tournament where $200,000 is earmarked for first place.

“It’s almost time to shuffle up and deal — over and over again for 10 straight days,” stated Michael Harris, spokesperson for Americas Cardroom. “We can’t wait to crown champion after champion in the most anticipated online poker series open to Americans. Registration for all 76 events, including the $1 million guaranteed Main Event, is now open. Come crush it.”

The Online Super Series VI gets underway on April 15th and runs through April 24th. The 10-day series covers the entire gamut, including Hold’em, Omaha, Bounties, Turbos, 6-Max, and other popular games and variations of poker.

Featured in the series are 76 separate events with guarantees totaling $2.5 million. Buy-ins for the 10-day series run as low as $0.06. Harris notes that the $0.06 is a direct buy-in, not a satellite, making it one of the most accessible tournament series in the United States.

Also included on the schedule is a $300,000 guarantee on Sunday, April 17th, the first Sunday in the series and a $200,000 GTD Sunday Special on April 24th.

While these numbers are impressive, the OSS VI Main Event that has everyone talking is theMillion Dollar Sunday, a $1 million guaranteed tournament scheduled for Sunday, April 24th at 4pm ET. First place is guaranteed to walk away with $200,000, though if history repeats itself, several players will walk away from the table with 6-figure scores.

In 2015, Americas Cardroom held seven $1 million guarantees throughout the year. Many Million Dollar Sunday events ended with final table deals, showering the top three or four players with $100,000 or more.

Registration for all OSS VI tournaments is now open at Americas Cardroom, available for PCs and Macs.

‘Ahundredollars’ Takes Biggest Prize in Million Dollar Sunday History.

San Jose, Costa Rica – December 7th, 2015 – His online poker name is ahundredollars, but the Million Dollar Sunday champion is waking up this morning with a lot more money in his pocket after taking first place in Americas Cardroom’s $1 million guaranteed poker tournament. With a first place prize of$200,000, ahundredollars has won the biggest payout in the history of the Million Dollar Sunday.

“We’ve seen a final table deal negotiated in every single Million Dollar Sunday tournament we’ve held so far, but the final table players would have none of it in Sunday night’s big event,” stated Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris. “Congratulations to ahundredollars on his big win, and to Otter Nation and CantEvenRead, who won $111,000 and $73,800 for second and third place finishes.”

The Million Dollar Sunday was the Main Event in the OSS V, a 10-day tournament series that kicked off on November 27th and included $2.6 million in guaranteed prize money. Past Million Dollar Sunday tournaments saw final table deals, which forced a lower payout for the chip leader. For example, while $200,000 had been guaranteed for first place in a Million Dollar Sunday back in September, JohnLegend walked away with $104,883 after negotiating a deal with the remaining players at the table.

As expected, last night’s Million Dollar Sunday featured a significant overlay of $101,500, offering players exceptional value. But while the Million Dollar Sunday did overlay, the OSS V featured a number of guarantee-beating tournaments.

What’s more, with additional traffic flooding the online poker room during the 10-day series, a number of other signature tournaments saw significant prize pools. For example, yesterday’s Sunday Special featured a $200,000 guarantee (normally $115,000!) and finished with a prize pool of $201,600.

Poker players looking to get into the next big tournament at Americas Cardroom don’t have to wait long. The Sunday Special returns this weekend with at least $20,000 earmarked for first place.

Very Bad Beat

In this hand P4AC Poker suffers a crushing bad beat. These are the kind of hands that break hearts in large tournaments.

P4AC Poker is in the big blind with pocket aces. There are two calls and then small blind shoves all in. P4AC Poker shoves all in with his aces……
