Our Mission

My name is Terry Cody and I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN.  At the age of 16 ½, I enlisted in the United States Air Force through their Delayed Enlistment Program where I worked in telecommunications and performed Search and Recovery Detail during Desert Storm.  During this time period, I was a drummer in a very successful band performing throughout the Southeastern circuit at events and venues such as Paradise Theater, Club La Villa, Sharky’s, Shuck and Jive, Coconut Bay, Montgomery Jubilee City Fest,  Fourth of July at Garret Coliseum, The Masquerade Club in Atlanta, GA, and several NCO clubs at various military bases in the Southeast. The main objective of Poker4ACause is to make a positive difference in the lives of others who are in need by raising monetary funds, collecting food and basic essentials and providing them to individuals, families, disabled veterans, the homeless and more.  This is accomplished through hosting successful live fundraising promotions including comedy, music and charity poker events beginning here at home in the Dallas/Fort Worth area with the goal of going nationwide.  Join our online poker room by clicking on one of the banners to the right and left of this page to become a part of our online family of poker players who help homeless/disabled veterans, families, children and so much more.
